The ZBS Radio Hour Returns

At 11am and 7pm Pacific Time / 19:00 and 03:00 GMT, join us for the latest episodes of our two adventures in the ZBS Radio Hour.

We begin with Part 12 of our Steampunk Jack Flanders serial, Steam Dreamers of Inverness. Just a reminder of the story:

While traveling upon the great zeppelin, The Illuminato, Jack, Mojo, and Claudine discover an island floating in the sky. On the island is a giant stupa guarded by a woman who is part machine and part plant. Andola RUX 77 is the creation of the renowned scientist, Dr. Werner von Falkenstein, also known as The Mad Botanist! After various twists and turns, Jack & Mojo end up with Andola in The Mad Botanist’s laboratory, along with bubbling beakers and sizzling bolts of electricity. They find themselves encased within two large glass domes, where they are gradually transformed into something not quite human.

And then at the bottom of the hour, there’s the first part of a new Roger Gregg serial: The Last Harbinger

The story begins as a strange Harbinger is sent on a mission to a place called Moloch. Moloch is an absurd world where the vanity of the élite compels them to spend more cosmetic surgery than on medicines for the poor, a world wherein a twisted religious ideology applauds the materially well-off while condemning those who have no homes, a world rapidly devouring its own environment. In short: Moloch is a civilization swallowing itself — sound familiar? The Harbinger has the truth. But can truth alone save such an absurd world?

The Last Harbinger” is a satiric parable for our times. Also featuring Phil Proctor of Firesign Theatre.
