Sounds of South Africa — 6–8:30 PM SLT (US Pacific Time)

in Radio Riel Main, Weekly Programme

by rieladmin on Monday, 25 June, 2012

Township jive, choral music, kwaito, Afrobeat, jazz — South African music has much to offer and is some of the most stirring music in the world.

Tune in on Main tonight between 6–8:30 PM SLT (US Pacific Time) as we explore the Sounds of South Africa — from legends like Miriam Makeba to Afropop pioneers Juluka to modern stars like Freshlyground and lots, lots more.  We might take an excursion or two to nearby Zimbabwe and Madagascar as well.

So get out your swing‐dancing shoes and come for the jive!  You can join Carter in Second Life at Madhu’s Café Indien, or listen in on Radio Riel Main, wherever you are.  Hope you will join us!

This evening’s program is presented by Carter Denja. To listen, click here to start your player. If you are in the United States, please use the following link:
