L’Shanah Tovah — 6–8:30 PM SLT (US Pacific Time)

This is the week of t’shuvah, the week between Rosh Hashanah (the new year) and Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) — the holiest week of the Jewish year.  And to celebrate these High Holidays, today on World Music at Madhu’s Café, Carter will explore the music of her own heritage.

You’ll hear raucous and passionate Klezmer sounds from eastern Europe.   You’ll hear the sounds of Sefardic Jews from places like Spain, Turkey, and Morocco.  You’ll hear traditional Jewish liturgical music presented in fresh and surprising ways.  And you’ll hear some modern Israeli popular music.

So come celebrate the new year with us, in Second Life at Madhu’s Café Indien — or, listen in on Radio Riel Main, wherever you are.  Hope you will join us — and l’shanah tovah tikatev v’taihatem — may you be inscribed and sealed for a good year.

This evening’s program is presented by Carter. To listen, click here to start your player. If you are in the United States, please use the following link: http://loudcity.com/stations/radio-riel/tune_in
