Today’s Swing Sun­day pro­gram on Radio Riel’s Main stream includes “Swing Time at the Ser­aph Club”, Gabrielle Riel’s live broad­cast from from 6:00pm — 7:30pm North Amer­i­can Pacif­ic time. This evening’s show is Give My Regards to Broad­way. In the mid 20th cen­tu­ry many songs from Broad­way shows made the leap from the stage to the hit parade. On this day in 1902, the Amer­i­can com­pos­er Richard Rodgers was born. Rodgers, along with his lyri­cists Lorenz Hart and Oscar Ham­mer­stein II, wrote some of the most icon­ic songs of the 20th Cen­tu­ry, for Broad­way, movies and tele­vi­sion.
