If Google has not already alert­ed you to the fact, we are hap­py to inform you that today is the 245th anniver­sary of Lud­wig Von Beethoven’s bap­tism! There is no record of his birth, although it is gen­er­al­ly accept­ed to be Decem­ber 16, 1770. Today’s pro­gram on our Main stream is all Beethoven in hon­or of the big 245!

Main: The Keyboard

Today’s Main pro­gram­ming fea­tures selec­tion which are com­posed around the key­board. While the Piano (the Piano/Forte as it was orig­i­nal­ly known) fea­tures heav­i­ly in the broad­cast, there are also numer­ous pieces per­formed on harp­si­chord, and oth­ers where the piano is the sup­port­ing instru­ment in a choral piece or a sonata.
