Today, Radio Riel is presenting a special program in honor of the newest part of the Riel Communities: New Toulouse! Last week the sims of New Toulouse and New Toulouse Algiers transferred into the ownership of Gabrielle Riel. We are pleased to bring the New Taloosters into the family, along with the Riel Audiophiles and the Edisonians.

New Toulouse is based on New Orleans at the beginning of the 20th Century, roughly from 1900 — 1920, and one of the most special parts of New Orleans (from *any* era) is its music. The addition of New Toulouse will enable Radio Riel to play more early Jazz and Cajun music in the future.

Today, you will hear Ragtime, Dixieland Jazz, Early New Orleans Style Jazz and Blues from artists such as Louis Armstrong, Bessie Smith, James P. Johnson, Tommy Johnson, Scott Joplin and Jelly Roll Morton.

Today’s program originates from the music library of Gabrielle Riel. You can listen to the program now by clicking here.
