Swing, Big Band & Trad Jazz

Join us today for a collection of music that broadly spans the period 1920–50, continuing on from Soliel’s delightful programme of jazz classics yesterday.

You’ll hear the Charleston to Glenn Miller and everything in between, with both instrumental and vocal selections. In addition I’ve thrown in a few period novelty songs for your amusement.

And don’t forget, if you like what you hear today, this is the kind of music you can hear all the time on Radio Riel’s Dieselpunk stream.

Today’s programme is presented by Elrik Merlin and produced by Radio Riel in conjunction with our friends at the Alexandrian Free Library Consortium of Second Life. You can listen to the programme in-world now at http://main.radioriel.org, or simply click here to start your player, if your browser is configured to do so. Listeners in the United States are encouraged to tune in using this link: http://loudcity.com/stations/radio-riel/tune_in
