Spring “Winds”

wind instruments

As the winds of Spring blow across the Northern Hemisphere, the sounds of woodwinds roll across Radio Riel’s main stream today.

Today’s program consists of wind ensembles both large and small. We are giving the strings a break as wind instruments take center stage.

Wind instruments are those instruments that produce sound as a player blows air into or over a resonator, which is usually in the form of a tube. There are two types of wind instruments: woodwinds and brass. Some woodwinds are: the clarinet, the flute, the recorder, the oboe, the bassoon and the English horn. Examples of brass instruments are: the trumpet, the trombone, the French horn and the tuba. We hope that today’s program blows you away!

Today’s program is presented by Gabrielle Riel. If you are in the United States, please click here to launch the Stream Licensing player. To listen from outside of the United States, click here to start your player .
