O-bon Matsuri

in Daily Programme

by Gabrielle Riel on Wednesday, 29 July, 2009

You are cordially invited to O-bon Matsuri this evening in Edison Hypatia from 6–8pm SLT. Mitsu Figaro and Touma Yoshikawa are hosting this event, which is the Japanese Buddhist holiday to honor the departed spirits of one’s ancestors.

Mitsu will be playing her usual, amazing mix of traditional and contemporary Japanese music. Please join us in the special temple, high in the clouds, in Edison Hypatia (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Edison%20Hypatia/23/237/601). At the end of the event, we shall descend to the river banks to walk or to float in the available boats as a fireworks display lights up the sky!

You can also tune in by opening our event stream in a media player: http://event.radioriel.org .

Gabi, Gabi, Gabi. O-bon Matsuri is so perfect for me tonight as I write about Japanese sims in SL. I've been SO grooving on the music and if you don't give me a playlist so I can obtain every single song... I will scream!

Domo arigato gozimasu, Gabi-san!

There has been extensive discussion here at the O-bon Dance about Mitsu posting her playlist.

After she exports it and sends it to me, I am going to post it here on the Blog. 🙂
