Music of the 20s & 30s

Today on Main, enjoy a programme of music from the 1920s and 30s, composed of original recordings and more recent re-recordings. The criterion is simply that the piece was written during the period, so you’ll in fact hear performances virtually from then until now.

The programme includes jazz, dance music, big band, ragtime and popular songs — and much more.

If you like this style of music, remember that it’s available all the time on Radio Riel Dieselpunk – one of the few stations of its type on the Internet.

Today’s programme is presented by Elrik Merlin. If you are in the United States or Canada, please click here to launch the Stream Licensing player. To listen from outside North America, click here to start your player .

This programme is also available in enhanced-quality AAC. Tune in here: http://64.237.34.50:9000/stream.m3u
