Music of the 20s & 30s

Today on Main, enjoy a programme of music from the 1920s and 30s, composed of original recordings and more recent re-recordings. The criterion is simply that the piece was written during the period, so you’ll in fact hear performances virtually from then until now.

The programme includes jazz, dance music, big band, ragtime and popular songs — and much more.
