Main: Let It Snow!

in Daily Programme, Radio Riel Main

by Gabrielle Riel on Monday, 11 December, 2017

Suddenly it seems like the entire Northern Hemisphere is blanketed in snow! In honor of the snow that many Radio Riel listeners have at the moment, today’s program on our main stream is all about snow and Winter!

Tune in for an eclectic mix of genres created to greet the snow and herald in the cold winter winds. You will hear some Early Music, some Classical, some New Age and some Contemporary.

Blow, blow, thou winter wind.
Thou art not so unkind
As man’s ingratitude;

Thy tooth is not so keen,
Because thou art not seen,
Although thy breath be rude.
Heigh‐ho! sing, heigh‐ho! unto the green holly:
Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly:
Then, heigh‐ho, the holly!
This life is most jolly.

Freeze, freeze, thou bitter sky,
That dost not bite so nigh
As benefits forgot:
Though thou the waters warp,
Thy sting is not so sharp
As friend remember’d not.

William Shakespeare from As You Like It
