**East Tennessee State University (top floor) **
The Graphic Design area of the Department of Art and Design at East Tennessee State University is happy to present samples of work produced by student artists in a variety of different media. Many of the works exhibited are graphic works, produced in response to specific visual design problems, while others are more individualized statements. Some work is produced with digital processes, while others use traditional methods. This exhibit represents only a very small sample of our larger art and design program.

Our home gallery, The ETSU 2nd Life Virtual Art Gallery, is supervised by Professor Bimbogami, a professor of graphic design, and is used as both an exhibit space and as a learning studio/laboratory for the arts.

Our gallery mission is to explore the potential for creating and exhibiting art and design and to provide a rich visual experience for all visitors.

The Department of Art & Design is accredited by NASAD and offers degree programs in a wide variety of areas of emphasis including: art history, graphic design, photography, printmaking, drawing, painting, fiber arts, jewelry and metals, sculpture, and ceramics. The department offers BA, BFA, MA, and MFA degree programs.

East Tenessee State University is located in scenic northeast Tennessee and offers over 100 undergraduate, 60 master’s, and 11 doctoral programs, including the Quillen College of Medicine. Please visit our website for more information:
**University of Kentucky (ground floor)**
The University of Kentucky Department of Art has an exciting gallery in SL with changing exhibits. The curator is New Media professor Dmitry “Dima” Strakovsky.

The nearly 300 undergraduate majors and 30 graduate students in the Department of Art seek degrees in Art Studio, Art History, and Art Education. They are taught by 21 full-time faculty, who are recognized nationally and internationally for their high level of research and creative activity. Large enough to present a diversity of creative experiences yet small enough to offer personal attention to individuals, our department offers the only terminal professional degree in Studio Art, the M.F.A, in the Commonwealth.

Over the years we have developed a reputation as the leading center for the production and exhibition of cutting-edge art of the highest quality in Lexington and Central Kentucky and as a national leader in new approaches to the creation and interpretation of art, educating artists, teachers, and future leaders in the cultural life of the Commonwealth.
