Teofila Matova is proud to announce the grand re-opening of the Library Art Gallery @ Info Island: Saturday, 1pm — 2:30pm SLT / 21:00 — 22:30 BST

During the months of June and July we are hosting a collection à la academe — specifically, featuring work from East Tennessee State University’s Department of Art & Design and University of Kentucky’s Department of Art.

To mark the re-opening, we’re having a dance, with music provided by Elrik Merlin, and host Emilly Orr, of Radio Riel. I hope you will be able to join us and celebrate the arts!,” says Teo.

The music will be contemporary dance with just a hint of the Celtic — and maybe another odd influence here and there,” comments Elrik Merlin with an evil laugh.

This airy and spacious gallery is situated on popular Info Island, part of the Info Archipelago established in 2006 by the Alliance Library System of Illinois. Come for the music — stay for the art!

If you can’t be there in person, groove at home to the sounds on Radio Riel:

The Gallery has two floors and spacious land, plenty of space for artists and exhibitors to show and sell their art in SL. The Gallery enjoys hosting fine art of all formats and genres: painting, still life, modern art, contemporary, photography, abstracts, stained glass, pottery, sculptures. and offers live music and/or DJs with exhibition openings and other special events and programmes. The Library Art Gallery is also available for art librarians, art aficionados, and other individuals in the Arts & Humanities and Education community to hold their own events such as open forums, Q&A sessions, or tutorials. Those individuals or groups should contact Teofila Matova for details and scheduling.
