India-bound! Monday, 6–8:30PM SLT (Pacific time)

In a little over a week, I (Carter) am heading to India for the first time.*

If you have listened to World Music at Madhu’s Café before, you know how close the music of India is to my heart. And so, to celebrate my trip (and since I can hardly think about anything else at this point), tonight we’ll explore the vast, rich music of this amazing nation.

From the classic sounds of Bollywood to its modern grooves; from jazz fusion to the dhol beat of Punjab; from Tamil traditions to Sufi devotions — come hear a few of the reasons why I fell in love with the music of India.

Come hang out and enjoy the grooves tonight from 6–8:30PM SLT. You can find us in world at Madhu’s Café Indien, or listen in on Radio Riel’s main stream. Hope to see you there! Indian dress strongly encouraged but entirely optional.

* The map at the top of this post is my actual itinerary!
