Happy 200th Birthday Franz Liszt!

October 22 was the 200th birthday of Romantic composer Franz Liszt.

In honor of this, today’s program on Radio Riel’s Main stream consists of primarily his works, with some additional pieces by other Romantic composers. Liszt was friends with many of his contemporaries, such as Chopin and Berlioz, and his works influenced many of the late Romantic composers and early Modern classical composers such as Grieg and Saint-Saëns.

Radio Riel produces this program in conjunction with the Alexandrian Free Library Consortium of Second Life. You can listen to the program now at http://loudcity.com/stations/radio-riel. Today’s music originates from the music library of Gabrielle Riel.
