From the Library: Virtuoso Composers

The 18th and 19th Centuries were not only an era of great composers, but they were also an era of great composers who were virtuoso performers.  Today’s program features the works of composers from the Classical and Romantic periods who achieved fame during their lives as virtuoso performers. We know their names and their music through their written works; today Radio Riel honors the following composers that brought their music to life themselves: Mozart, Schubert, Paganini, Clara Schumann, Liszt, Chopin and Rachmaninoff.

Radio Riel produces this program in conjunction with the Alexandrian Free Library Consortium of Second Life. You can listen to the program now at Today’s music originates from the music library of Gabrielle Riel.
