From the Library: Music of the Victorian & Edwardian Eras

Today we feature a range of music from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including popular songs and ballads, music from the dance-halls, and songs from musicals of the time – from Gilbert & Sullivan to Mockton’s Arcadians.
The period covered extends to around 1920, although a few tracks are actually a litle later than that. The recordings are a mixture of original transcriptions and modern performances. We hope you enjoy today’s journey into a bygone age.
