From the Library: Music from My Father, Part II

Last week, I played a program called “Music from my Father” which consisted of music taken directly from my father’s music library. All of the music from last week’s program was classical music, from the Baroque to Romantic eras.

This week, I am proud to present Part II of this program, which focuses on Jazz, Popular Standards from the early to mid 20th Century, as well as a healthy dose of Bluegrass and Cowboy songs! I remember sitting with my Dad, when I was about 12, watching old Roy Rogers movies. He was a huge fan of those movies and the music that they contained.

To me, my Dad will always be the Cowboy with the White Hat.

Radio Riel produces this program in conjunction with the Alexandrian Free Library Consortium of Second Life. You can listen to the program now at . Today’s music originates from the music library of Gabrielle Riel.
