Yeah Baby! Welcome to today’s program on Radio Riel’s Main stream: retro, groovy…and downright cheesy, bonafide lounge music from the 1950s and 60s!

Radio Riel produces this program in conjunction with the Alexandrian Free Library Consortium of Second Life. You can listen to the program now at . Today’s music originates from the music library of Gabrielle Riel.

Beaucoup de fromage! Very nice.

Back in the 70s I used to record things like this for Rediffusion Reditune, which provided background music (a la Muzak).

And of course there were quite a few pieces of this kind heard on the test Cards on UK television (along with production music library tracks and light music) in the 50s-70s.
