From the Library… Jane Austen Special Program

Radio Riel is proud to present a spe­cial pro­gram of Jane Austen’s “Per­sua­sion”, as well as music of Jane Austen’s time and some of the recent film scores to Austen movies, in sup­port of the Cale­don Library’s “The Com­plete Jane” pro­gram.

    This is awe­some! I found this through Mox­ie Grum­by, and I am delight­ed about all the Jane Austen fun.

    That said, I’m not dig­ging the voice tal­ent they used for Per­sua­sion. I’ll see if I can get past it.

    I agree with you — some of the Lib­rivox “read­ers” are bet­ter than oth­ers, but that is to be expect­ed as Lib­rivox is 100% vol­un­teer.

    The ben­e­fit to Lib­rivox? They are 100% pub­lic domain. 🙂 It’s won­der­ful hav­ing the resource and know­ing that the Record­ing Indus­try Asso­ci­a­tion of Amer­i­ca (RIAA) can’t come after us.
