From the Library: Happy Birthday Igor Stravinsky!

Curses on you Google for stealing my thunder on this program and designing your logo in honor of Mr. Stravinsky’s birthday yesterday! 🙂 Each week, I run a quick check in “This Week in Music History” to find inspiration for my programs. I was thrilled to discover that this week was the anniversary of the birth of one of my favorite composers: Igor Stravinsky. So, in honor of Mr. Stravinsky’s birth date, June 17, 1882, our program today is a retrospective of this brilliant 20th Century composer’s works.

Radio Riel produces this program in conjunction with the Alexandrian Free Library Consortium of Second Life. You can listen to the program now at http://music.radioriel.org . Today’s music originates from the music library of Gabrielle Riel.
