From the Library…Happy Birthday George Gershwin!

Today, Radio Riel cel­e­brates the birth, 110 years ago, on Sep­tem­ber 26, 1898, of one of the most famous and pro­lif­ic Amer­i­can com­posers of all time, George Gersh­win. Gersh­win com­posed hun­dreds of songs, rang­ing from pop­u­lar tunes to songs for Broad­way and movies.

Radio Riel pro­duces this pro­gram in con­junc­tion with the Cale­don Library in Sec­ond Life. Today’s music orig­i­nates from the music library of Gabrielle Riel.
