From the Library: French Classics

Please join us today on Radio Riel as we present a programme of music from French composers, primarily, though not exclusively, drawn from the 19th Century.

We’ll be featuring well-known composers such as Ravel, Debussy, Berlioz, Fauré and Satie… and many more, including lesser known composers such as Rameau and Chabrier.

In addition to conventional performances, we will also include a selection of less traditional recordings, including both the electronic realisations of Isao Tomita and jazz-influenced approaches from artists such as Billy Barber and the David Rees-Williams Trio.

From the Library is produced by Radio Riel in conjunction with the Alexandrian Free Library Consortium of Second Life. You can listen to the programme now at http://music.radioriel.org. Today’s programme is presented by Elrik Merlin.
