From The Library — Anniversary of the Airship!

On the 24th of September 1852 Henri Giffard became the first person to successfully fly a powered airship, travelling 27 km from Paris to Trappes. In honour of this momentous occasion today’s music will feature songs that refer (sometimes very tenuously) to the theme of flight.

From the Library is produced by Radio Riel in conjunction with the Alexandrian Free Library Consortium of Second Life. You can listen to the programme now in-world at, or click one of the buttons below. Today’s programme is presented by Edward Pearse.
