From the Library: American Folk

Today’s programme features North American folk music, ancient and modern, from the songs derived from British traditions, brought over and replanted in the Appalachians (both traditional renderings and modern re-workings), and classic songs of the Civil War, to modern folk artists and songs from the boundaries of country, folk and bluegrass.
