in Daily Programme

by Gabrielle Riel on Sunday, 14 December, 2008

Gabrielle Riel presents a special program today in honor of the Caledon Book of the Month: “A Child’s Christmas in Wales” by Dylan Thomas. Today you will hear the music of Wales, from all seasons of the year, and some selections of poetry written and read by Dylan Thomas himself. This general programming today leads to the following event:

Caledon Library Book of the Month Discussion & Listening Party
A Child’s Christmas in Wales by Dylan Thomas
Sunday December 14 — 3pm
HG Wells Memorial Library, Caledon Wellsian

Take the Caledon Train, or use the handy Teleport from the Wellsian Hub or tune in at

One Christmas was so much like another, in those years around the sea-town corner now and out of all sound except the distant speaking of the voices I sometimes hear a moment before sleep, that I can never remember whether it snowed for six days and six nights when I was twelve or whether it snowed for twelve days and twelve nights when I was six.…”

Please join the Book of the Month discussion participants after the discussion at The Bashful Peacock from 3–5pm SLT for the monthly Tea Dance, presented today by Gabrielle Riel. The Bashful Peacock sits right across the street from the Wellsian Library.

Radio Riel produces this program in conjunction with the Caledon Library in Second Life. Today’s music originates from the music library of Gabrielle Riel.
