From The Library… A British Folk Anthology

Today’s programme in the series From the Library… features a selection of folk music from the British Isles, including such notables as Maddy Prior, June Tabor and Nick Drake – but also magical artists like Kate Rusby and long-forgotten Shelagh McDonald, and an occasional tune from across the water.

Like a written anthology, this programme claims only to be a collection and not an exhaustive examination of the field: indeed, there is plenty of material for many more.

• This programme is produced by Radio Riel in conjunction with the Caledon Library in Second Life, and presented by Elrik Merlin.
