From the Library—The Light Programme: Adventure!

in Daily Programme

by Elrik Merlin on Saturday, 22 August, 2009

Today we present a programme in our series “The Light Programme”, including the best of Light Music from the first half of the 20th century, and we’re featuring (among a great many other composers) the music of Ron Goodwin, adventure film score write extraordinaire. So you’ll hear 633 Squadron, The Trap, and many more.

There’s some adventure film music from other composers too, such as William Alwyn and Richard Addinsell, and of course an extensive collection of Light Music from other composers too.

The programme today is presented by Elrik Merlin and produced by Radio Riel in association with the Alexandrian Free Library Consortium of Second Life. You can listen to the program now at

For more information on the Alexandrian Free Library, current exhibits and the work of Consortium members in general, please visit the Alexandrian Free Library website, or one of their branches in-world.

Our apologies for the occasional audio distortion on today’s programme. We are working on fixing this issue and in the meantime hope your enjoyment is not significantly affected.
