Entente Cordiale

The Entente Cordiale was a set of agreements between Britain and France, signed in 1904, that brought about the end of a thousand years of intermittent strife between the two countries.

Today, we’re celebrating European unity and co‐operation with a programme of music from 19th and early 20th century French composers, including Ravel, Faure, Poulenc, Debussy, Satie and more — plus a few pieces by English composers (often with a slight French accent).

Today’s programme is presented by Elrik Merlin. Click here to start your player if your browser is set up to pass streams to an external player, or tune your network player to http://main.radioriel.org.
