Brixton Canning & Radio Riel Sinatra Tribute

Once again, Tribute Island brings you the the best of Live Tributes — 1pm on Friday at the Commemorative Bar!

In a late change to the scheduled event, Brixton Canning is playing a live tribute gig to the actor and recording artist Frank Sinatra. Brixton’s vocal stylings have been honed on the musical theatre stage and in the rock and jazz clubs of the Midwest US. An experienced presenter, his style is romantic, soulful and (he hopes) inspirational. Brixton is a musical storyteller, spinning yarns and weaving tales. He believes that “music is a powerful vehicle that can take us many places” so tonight’s tribute promises to be both powerful and interesting.

Brixton will be playing for an hour or so, followed by two hours of music from Frank and the other members of the Rat Pack, provided by Elrik Merlin of Radio Riel, with Soliel Snook hosting the event.

Join us at Tribute Island for an evening of classic crooners and the songs of days gone by. Come on down to the Commemorative Bar at 1pm: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Tribute%20Island/232/111/26.

If you can’t be there in person, tune in for the second part of the event on: http://music2.radioriel.org.

• This is the last event in the current Live Music Season at Tribute Island, sponsored by the good folks at www.lastingtribute.co.uk, in association with Prim Perfect Magazine and Radio Riel. More details of future gigs soon 🙂
