Around the World in…One Day

I (Gabrielle) com­posed today’s pro­gram on Radio Riel in con­junc­tion with the open­ing of the Cale­don Library exhib­it: From Oxcarts to Gon­do­las: The trav­el albums of Isabel­la Stew­art Gard­ner. Mrs. Gard­ner and her hus­band trav­eled exten­sive­ly through­out the world dur­ing the late 19th Cen­tu­ry vis­it­ing Rus­sia, Aus­tria, France, Nor­way, Japan, Chi­na, Indone­sia, Cam­bo­dia, Viet­nam, India, Egypt and more! There­fore the music you hear on Radio Riel today comes from many of the coun­tries that the Gar­den­ers vis­it­ed.

Please join us from 2–3pm SLT today for the open­ing of the exhib­it. Click here for the details. And from 3–5pm SLT, I (Gabrielle) will be play­ing live for the month­ly Palm Court Tea Dance at The Bash­ful Pea­cock in Cale­don Well­sian. Both of these events will run on Radio Riel’s Main Stream.
