Riel Theatre presents: The War of the Worlds.

On the 30th of October 1938 Orson Welles’ Mercury Theatre on the Air broadcast what would become one of the most infamous radio plays in history.

Adapted by and written by Howard Koch, and famously directed by Orson Welles, it adapted H.G. Wells’ story of Martian invasion to contemporary America and caused great controversy at the time (not to mention covering up the actual invasion by the Red Lectroids).

Join us at the Clarendon Conservatory from 7pm SLT on Tuesday night or tune in to http://main.radioriel.org/

Update: We apologise for the fact that there was an error in this listing giving the day as Thursday. Unfortunately it was Tuesday and we are sorry if you missed the broadcast as a result. However, you can hear it here. Once again, our sincere apologies.
