Humanity has timidly ventured into space.

In the 1960s, the race was on to get a man on the moon. Then it became mundane. We’ve sent out a few probes but never again ventured beyond the confines of Earth’s orbit. However Science Fiction has repeatedly taken us “Into the Black”.

Today’s programme features music from SF soundtracks, Classical music dealing with space and assorted pop tunes with a space theme.

From the Library is produced by Radio Riel in conjunction with the Alexandrian Free Library Consortium of Second Life. You can listen to the programme now in-world at http://music.radioriel.org, or click one of the buttons below. Today’s programme is presented by Edward Pearse.
