Main: Space — The Deep Black Sea

The vast empty blackness of space has been the inspiration for a significant amount of music. Additionally Science Fiction movies and television have produced huge quantities of music pertaining to space and space travel.

From Holst’s Planet Suite (originally written before the discovery of Pluto, but now “correct” once again), to Sailor Moon, today’s programme features music from covering a broad array of styles and instruments. SF soundtracks, classical music and a variety of pop music tunes with a space theme.

Today’s programme is presented by Edward Pearse. You can listen to the programme in-world now at http://main.radioriel.org, or simply click here to start your player, if your browser is configured to do so.
