Today we nip across the Channel to feast our ears on the music of some of the most memorable of French composers.

We will be including works by Rameau, a personal favourite, as well as Debussy, Ravel, Poulenc, Fauré (another favourite), Satie, Berlioz and Chopin.

Most of the performances are traditional, but there will be some modern interpretations too, such as the music of Isao Tomita and some light jazz.

ZBS Radio Hour

We continue our special hour-long episodes of the classic serial Moon Over Morocco today, with Part 3. Tune in at 11am or 7pm Pacific Time (19:00 or 03:00 GMT).

The picture shows one of Monet’s many paintings of the Japanese Bridge in his garden at Giverny.

Today’s programme is presented by Elrik Merlin. You can listen to the programme now at http://main.radioriel.org, or simply click here to start your player, if your browser is configured to do so. Listeners in the United States are encouraged to tune in using this link: http://loudcity.com/stations/radio-riel/tune_in

You are also welcome to tune in to our experimental AAC stream at http://minor.slserver.com:9012/live – this will give you higher sound quality but at the moment it does not provide track metadata and it may go off from time to time while we try different settings.
