Today on Radio Riel’s main stream we are featuring the quintessentially American music of the Vaudeville stage!

In the days before television, movies, radio and even recorded music, Vaudeville was one way that spread popular music of the time. Vaudeville’s heyday was roughly from 1880 — 1930. Many early movies were simply typical Vaudeville reviews put on film. Some Vaudeville performers, like Fred Astaire, made the transition from the stage to the silver screen. We hope that you enjoy this day of Vaudeville!
