It's the end of the week, and here's something to help you ease gently into the weekend: a programme of peaceful, flowing music from the Ambient and light Trance genres. And while there will be breaks from time to time, we'll try to maintain the mood throughout the day. Minimal lyrics, laid-back or non-existent beats (most of the time, anyway: one or two of the tracks get a bit lively). Music to write or mark papers to, read or research, relax and put your feet up, or simply to provide the soundtrack to your day.

We're featuring works such as the Celtic Trance of Dagda, music by Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois for Al Reinert's film of the Apollo moon landing For All Mankind, music from beyond the Arctic Circle with Biosphere, the music of Vangelis, and a selection of other artists. Enjoy!

From the Library is produced by Radio Riel in conjunction with the Caledon Library in Second Life. Today's programme was produced by Elrik Merlin.

You can listen now at http://music.radioriel.org - the ideal URL for you to use in your home parcel media address in-world - or simply visit any Caledon Library branch in-world and press Play on your embedded music player.
