From The Library — Smooth Jazz

in Daily Programme

by Elrik Merlin on Thursday, 12 February, 2009

Hello and welcome to somewhat of a departure from the norm here on Radio Riel: a day of relaxing contemporary music from the smooth end of the jazz spectrum, with somewhat of a bias towards keyboards. If your week has been a bit hectic so far, then kick back and enjoy some smooth instrumental moods.

Well, mainly smooth, anyway – there are some tracks that kick up the tempo a bit to help you through the day. Almost exclusively instrumental, so if you need to focus, read, write, study, build… there are few lyrics to intrude. All in all, here’s a soundtrack to your Second (or First) Life for a Thursday.

Artists include Suzanne Ciani, David Benoit, Exchange, Jim Chappell, Billy Barber, Ian Lynn, Acoustic Alchemy and many more.

From The Library is presented by Radio Riel in conjunction with the Caledon Library in Second Life, and today’s programme was produced by Elrik Merlin. For more information on the Caledon Library, current exhibits and the work of Second Life reference libraries in general, please visit the Caledon Library Web site, or one of their locations in-world.
