Today I (Gabrielle) am experimenting with a new way of programming on Radio Riel’s Main stream!  Usually we have a single theme each day, but today features a wider variety of music and programming for you.

Honoring the Saint
Radio Riel’s Main stream plays Christian Sacred music, primarily from the Early Music period, this morning from 9:00am — 1:00pm SLT.

Off the Shelf
From 1:00pm — 1:30pm SLT it’s Radio Riel’s show/podcast about books and the people who love them!

This week, Simeon Beresford and Kghia Gherardi interview science fiction authors Sharon Lee and Steve Miller.  Best known for their novels and short stories set in the Liaden Universe*, Sharon and Steve have been involved in most aspects of the industry, not just as authors but as publishers (both traditional and electronic), Bookshop owners and of course active members of the science fiction community.

Their latest novel “Saltation” will be published In April by Baen Books, and they will give away an E-ARC of this upcoming novel during the half time break.  The show will be at the Off the Shelf studio in Awen. (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Awen/161/170/322) Please join us!

* “Liaden Universe” is a registered trademark of Sharon Lee and Steve Miller

Honoring the Valentine
The program switches to “Love Songs” from 1:30pm — 11:59pm SLT in honor of the day, and will feature music from the entire 20th Century.  We hope you enjoy a mix of music that we have never played on Radio Riel before!

Radio Riel produces this program in conjunction with the Alexandrian Free Library Consortium of Second Life. You can listen to the program now at http://main.radioriel.org . Today’s music originates from the music library of Gabrielle Riel.

For more information on the Alexandrian Free Library, current exhibits and the work of Consortium members in general, please visit the Alexandrian Free Library website, or one of their branches in-world.
