From the Library: Moving Music

Not simply a varied collection of music that might, at a stretch, be suitable for moving house; today Elrik Merlin — who doesn’t usually present shows on Sundays — offers listeners a programme including (in amongst a lot of other items) some of his all-time favourites: pieces that certainly move him, one way or another, and make his hair stand on end.

There’s everything in here — from ELO to Vaughan Williams to the Beatles to the Dixie Chicks to the Carpenters to Secret Garden (we kid you not), interleaved with New Age and Smooth Jazz instrumentals.

As Elrik puts it, “My musical tastes are so diverse, there’s bound to be something in my library that you won’t like.” And plenty to like too, we hope.

Today’s show is dedicated to Radio Riel’s founder Gabi, who often presents the Sunday show for your listening pleasure, with best wishes for a successful transposition. It’s also dedicated to Relay for Life in Second Life, which has events happening all this weekend. And find out more here.

From the Library is produced by Radio Riel in conjunction with the Alexandrian Free Library Consortium of Second Life. You can listen to the programme now in-world at http://music.radioriel.org, or click one of the buttons below. Today’s programme is presented by Elrik Merlin.
