From the Library: Christmas in New Babbage

in Daily Programme

by Gabrielle Riel on Thursday, 17 December, 2009

Today’s program is dedicated to the Second Life Steampunk community of New Babbage.   What does this mean in terms of music?  Well, you will hear a crazy and eclectic mix today, from “classic Steampunk” music by Steampunk favorites Abney Park, to Christmas music cranked out on player pianos and music boxes, to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, to electronica, to some *really* dark and weird songs!  I hope you enjoy it, and as they say in New Babbage…what could possibly go wrong?

Radio Riel produces this program in conjunction with the Alexandrian Free Library Consortium of Second Life. You can listen to the program now at http://main.radioriel.org . Today’s music originates from the music library of Gabrielle Riel.

For more information on the Alexandrian Free Library, current exhibits and the work of Consortium members in general, please visit the Alexandrian Free Library website, or one of their branches in-world.
