Today we present a programme of modern folk music from the UK.

We’ll be hearing fairly recent releases, plus tracks from the last 20 years or so, with the occasional traditional number thrown in alongside the likes of the Unthanks, Chumbawamba, Fourtold and others, many suggested by my colleague on Designing Worlds, Saffia Widdershins.

The Black Mass

Then tune in at 11am or 7pm Pacific time (19:00 or 03:00 in the UK) for another chilling radio drama from Erik Bauersfeld in the landmark series produced 50 years ago at KPFA in Berkeley. Today it’s An Evening’s Entertainment by M R James. Next week at the same time we’ll be presenting Diary of a Madman by Nicolai Gogol.

Today’s programme is presented by Elrik Merlin. You can listen to the programme in-world now at http://main.radioriel.org, or simply click here to start your player, if your browser is configured to do so. Listeners in the United States are encouraged to tune in using this link: http://loudcity.com/stations/radio-riel/tune_in
