I (Gabrielle) composed today’s program on Radio Riel in conjunction with the opening of the Caledon Library exhibit: From Oxcarts to Gondolas: The travel albums of Isabella Stewart Gardner. Mrs. Gardner and her husband traveled extensively throughout the world during the late 19th Century visiting Russia, Austria, France, Norway, Japan, China, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, India, Egypt and more! Therefore the music you hear on Radio Riel today comes from many of the countries that the Gardeners visited.

Please join us from 2–3pm SLT today for the opening of the exhibit. Click here for the details. And from 3–5pm SLT, I (Gabrielle) will be playing live for the monthly Palm Court Tea Dance at The Bashful Peacock in Caledon Wellsian. Both of these events will run on Radio Riel’s Main Stream.

Radio Riel produces this program in conjunction with the Alexandrian Free Library Consortium of Second Life. You can listen to the program now at http://music.radioriel.org . Today’s music originates from the music library of Gabrielle Riel.

For more information on the Alexandrian Free Library, current exhibits and the work of Consortium members in general, please visit the Alexandrian Free Library website, or one of their branches in-world.
