Today’s program on Radio Riel’s Main stream is a new one, based on a brainstorm that Gabrielle had while listening to Sting’s “Symphonicities” album: A Day at the Pops!

The music that you will hear today is primarily classical arrangements of popular music.

You will hear current pop tunes performed in this manner by Vitamin String Quartet, Apocalyptica, Aston and more. You will also hear symphonic arrangements performed by artists like Sting and Duke Special of their own current music. We have also included the typical “American Classical Pops” music of the Cincinnati Pops and the Boston Pops Orchestra, as well as orchestral arrangements of late 19th Century popular music. Add in a dash of movie soundtracks, a pinch of music from the television show Glee, and we have “A Day at the Pops”. We look forward to surprising you throughout the day!

Thank you to PJ Trenton for his recommendations for this program!

Radio Riel produces this program in conjunction with the Alexandrian Free Library Consortium of Second Life. You can listen to the program now at http://loudcity.com/stations/radio-riel. Today’s music originates from the music library of Gabrielle Riel.
